Wildcard Berths (Alpine)
New for the 2022 event, these wildcard berths for Alpine are intended to open up access to additional teams in the National Championship Alpine competition field, without inhibiting the existing field. We have seen an increasing level of competition in the Alpine field at our Nationals Championships, and we have unused allocations of competitors and berths that have been historically underutilized for 4-way competition. One Wildcard team would qualify from each of the six Regions, and those competitors would start their first run of competition after the existing qualified field.
