The United States Collegiate Ski & Snowboard Association (USCSA) held its 5th week of the alpinecompetition season with races in the Midwest, Mideast, Southeast, Grand Teton, Atlantic Highlands, Rocky Mountain, Allegheny, and Eastern Regions this past weekend.
2/01 - 2/02 Eastern Conference
MacConnell division held a two day giant slalom race in Queensbury, NY . On Saturday, Babson College claimed 1st place in the men’s giant slalom. Babson’s Elliot Perretta placed 6th. Teammates James Rosenbloom placed 16th and Sebastian Shepperd placed 28th. The University of Massachusetts placed 2nd led by Marin Vigneras. UMass Teammate Travis Reardon placed 19th.
Vermont State University at Castleton claimed 1st place in the women’s giant slalom. Castleton’s Emilie Stene placed 11th, followed by teammates Elosegui Rodriguez in 14th and Karleigh Hollister in 26th. Babson placed 2nd overall. Babson’s Camryn Knowlton placed 19th, while her teammate Amelie Alkier placed 24th followed by Ava Butler in 28th and Riley Jerome in 30th.
On Sunday Babson College claimed 1st place in the men’s giant slalom. Babson’s Elliot Perretta placed 3rd. Teammates James Rosenbloom placed 5th and Connor Ray placed 13th. Vermont State University at Castleton placed 2nd overall. Castleton’s Pajares Echegoyen placed 11th followed by teammates Sondre Andersen in 12th place. Teammate Nate Hazen placed 20th. Also on Sunday, Babson College claimed 1st place in the women’s giant slalom. Babson’s Julia Wiacek placed 13th. Teammates Morrison Travis placed 23rd and Camryn Knowlton placed 25th. Clarkson University placed 2nd overall. Clarkson’s Ariana Welter placed 15th. Teammates Hannah Goetz placed 22nd and Elyse Donaghue placed 27th.
The Reynolds division held a race at Titcomb mountain in Farmington, ME. On Saturday the men’s slalom race was won by the University of Maine at Farmington. Farmington’s Sam Roy took 1st place followed by St. Joseph's College of Maine’s Jack Price in 2nd place with a 0.16 second difference. Farmington’s Colgan O’Keefe placed 3rd and teammate Sam McKee placed 5th. St.Joseph’s College of Maine placed 2nd overall led by Jack Price in 2nd place. St.Joseph’s Caleb Gorton placed 4th and Sam Plummer placed 16th.
On Saturday the women’s slalom race was also won by University of Maine at Farmington. Farmington’s Elanore Robb placed 1st followed by teammate Hokulani Caroselli in 2nd place with a 0.27 second difference. St. Joseph’s College of Maine placed 2nd overall led by Madelyn Zordan in 3rd place. Teammates Sienna Mack placed 5th and Kathleen Yeaton placed 7th.
On Sunday the men’s slalom race was won by University of Maine at Farmington. Farmington’s Sam Roy took 1st place followed by St. Joseph’s Caleb Gorton in 2nd place with a 0.30 second difference. Farmington’s Lance Dolan placed 3rd followed by teammate Lake Lindelof in 4th place. St. Joseph’s College of Maine placed 2nd overall led by Caleb Gorton in 2nd place. Teammates Charlie Pye placed 16th and Sam Plummer placed 17th. On Sunday the women’s slalom race was won by University of Maine at Farmington. Farmington’s Elanore Robb placed 1st followed by St.Joseph’s Madelyn Zordan in 2nd place with a 0.43 second difference. Farmington’s Hokulani Caroselli placed 3rd and teammate
Rosie St Cyr placed 7th. St. Joseph's College of Maine placed 2nd overall led by Madelyn Zordan in 2nd place. St.Joseph’s Sienna Mack placed 4th and teammate Kathleen Yeaton placed 5th.
The Thompson division held a race at Whaleback mountain in Enfield, NH. On Saturday Northeastern University claimed 1st in the men’s slalom event. Northeastern’s Miles Rucker took 1st place followed by Worcester Polytechnic Institute’s Nathan Kessler in 2nd place with only a 0.02 second difference separating them. Northeastern’s Jake Strobeck placed 8th and teammate Asher Lockwood placed 10th. Winchester Polytechnic Institute placed 2nd overall led by Nathan Kessler in 2nd place. Teammates Nicholas Szuba placed 7th and Elliot Norris in 15th.
On Saturday Northeastern University claimed 1st in the women’s slalom event. Northeastern’s Piper Macartney placed 2nd. Teammates Haley Kutzer placed 3rd and Ella Wiser placed 5th. Boston University placed 2nd overall led by Erin Kelleher in 8th place. Teammates Taylor Loomis placed 10th and Evelyn Usich placed 64th.
On Sunday Winchester Polytechnic Institute claimed 1st in the men’s slalom event. Winchester’s Nathan Kessler placed 2nd. Teammates Nicholas Szuba placed 6th and Elliot Norris in 14th place. Northeastern University placed 2nd overall. Northeastern’s Johan Holtenman placed 7th. Teammates Jake Strobeck placed 8th and Ethan Munson placed 9th.
On Sunday Northeastern University claimed 1st in the women's slalom event. Northeastern’s Haley Kutzer placed 1st. Teammates Piper Macartney placed 5th and Ella Wiser in 6th. Boston University placed 2nd overall. Boston’s Taylor Loomis placed 7th. Teammates Erin Kelleher in 9th place and Evelyn Usich placed 56th.
2/01 - 2/02 Midwest Conference
The Lake Superior Division held a race at Spirit Mountain in Duluth, MN. The giant slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. Northern Michigan University claimed 1st place overall in the men’s giant slalom. Northern’s Aaron Grzelak took 1st place followed by teammate Anthony Petkov in 2nd place with a 0.11 second difference. Teammate Andrew Truman placed 4th. St. Olaf placed 2nd overall. St. Olafs Graham Barwick placed 9th, followed by teammates Austin Mjanger in 11th and Wyatt Shultz in 14th.
Northern Michigan University also claimed 1st place overall in the women’s giant slalom. Northern’s Tommie Jo Springer took 1st place followed by teammate Madalyn Stern in 2nd place with a 1.45 second difference. Teammate Reagan Olli placed 3rd. St. Olaf placed 2nd overall led by Maia Andrews in 4th place. Teammates Kate Young placed 11th and Jessica Stanton placed 16th.
The slalom events were held for both men and women on Sunday, with Northern Michigan University claiming 1st place overall in the men’s slalom. Northern’s Aaron Grzelak took 1st place followed by teammate Reed Heathman in 2nd place with a 0.52 second difference. Teammate Andrew Truman placed 3rd. St. Olaf took 2nd overall led by Austin Mjanger in 5th place. Teammates Wyatt Schultz placed 6th and Graham Barwick placed 21st. Northern Michigan University claimed 1st place overall in the women’s slalom. Northern’s Ainsley Kirk took 1st place followed by teammate Reagan Olli with a 0.11 second difference. Teammate Ella Wichert placed 3rd. St. Olaf took 2nd overall led by Kate Young in 7th place. Teammates Jessica Stanton placed 10th and Lexi Jorgensen placed 15th.
The Michigan and Ohio Division held a slalom and giant slalom race at Otsego Club in Gaylord, MI. At Saturday’s women’s giant slalom race The University of Michigan claimed 1st place overall. Michigan’s Lauren Carlson placed 3rd followed by teammate Maria Fornetti in 4th place. Teammate Anna Grzelak placed 5th. The University of Notre dame took 2nd place led by Avery Meyer in 2nd place behind Michigan States Remington Robel in 1st place with a 0.34 second difference. For Saturday’s men’s giant slalom race, Michigan State University claimed 1st place overall. Michigan State’s Nicholas Uhazie placed 2nd behind Michigan’s Brady Koenig in 1st place with a 0.20 second difference. Michigan State’s Teegan McLeod placed 3rd. The University of Michigan placed 2nd overall led by Brady Keonig in 1st place.
For Sunday’s women’s slalom race The University of Michigan claimed 1st place overall. Michigan’s Lauren Carlson took 1st place followed by teammate Maria Fornetti in 2nd place with a 0.30 second difference. Teammate Rebecca Yedid placed 3rd. University of Notre Dame took 2nd overall led by Avery Meyer in 8th place. For the men’s slalom race, Michigan State University claimed 1st place overall. Michigan State’s Aiden Lewandowski took first place followed by teammate Hunter Halstead in 2nd place with a 1.00 second difference. Teammate Teegan McLeod placed 4th. The University of Michigan placed 2nd overall led by Benjamin Aulicino in 3rd place.
2/01 - 2/02 Grand Teton Conference
The Grand Teton region held two separate races - a race at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in Mesa, CO and a race at Lookout Pass in Idaho.
At Purgatory, the University of Utah was the only university in attendance. For the men, Utah’s TJ Weaver took 1st place over teammate Harrison Wilson in 2nd place with a 1.97 second difference. Utah’s Connor Hamlin placed 3rd. For the women, Utah’s Melissa Umble took 1st place followed by teammate Paige Petersen by 0.07 seconds. Teammate Lexi Ornstein placed 3rd.
At Lookout Pass, Rocky Mountain College was the only competitor. On the men’s side, Caleb Unger placed 1st followed by teammate Fredrik Straume in 2nd place with a 2.89 second difference. Teammate Zachary Bion placed 3rd. For the women, Eulalie Giraud placed 1st followed by teammate Synne Gaustad Kvinlog in 2nd place with a 3.49 second difference. Teammate Elisabeth Grimkelsrud placed 3rd.
2/01 - 2/02 Southeast Conference
The Southeast region held its two-day giant slalom race this weekend at Bryce Resort in Bryce, VA. The first giant slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. The University of Virginia claimed 1st place overall in the men’s giant slalom. Virginia's Tyler Jensen took 1st place over independent Trace Beyer in 2nd place with a 0.08 second difference. Virginia’s Jack Allison placed 12th and teammate Alexander Riley placed 25th. Virginia Tech placed 2nd overall led by Pierce Hamlin in 3rd place. Virginia’s Jacob Wierer placed 7th and teammate Christopher Johnson placed 14th.
Georgetown University claimed 1st place overall in the women’s giant slalom. Georgetown’s Megan Ryan took 2nd place behind James Madison University's Aimee Ramsey with a 1.56 second difference. Georgetown’s Chloe Vlases placed 4th and teammate Neve Martin placed 6th. Virginia placed 2nd overall with Laura Lee Baldwin placing 5th. Teammates Logan Lindstrom placed 7th and Bori Kim placed 9th.
The second giant slalom events were held on Sunday for both men and women. Virginia Tech claimed 1st place overall in the men’s giant slalom. Virginia Tech’s Theodore Hwang took 1st over Virginia’s Tyler Jensen in 2nd place with a 0.74 second difference. Virginia Tech’s Pierce Hamlin placed 7th followed by teammate Jacob Wierer in 8th place. Georgetown University placed 2nd overall led by James Fox in 3rd place. Teammates Jack Chitkara placed 6th and Harry Weinreich placed 9th.
Georgetown University claimed 1st place overall in the women’s giant slalom. Georgetown’s Sophie Neff took 1st place followed by teammate Megan Ryan with a 2.52 second difference. Teammate Chloe Vlases placed 3rd. The University of Virginia placed 2nd overall led by Laura Lee Baldwin placing 5th. Virginia’s Logan Lindstrom placed 7th followed by teammate Bori Kim in 8th.
2/01 - 2/02 Rocky Mountain Conference
The Rocky Mountain region held its Slalom and Dual Slalom race at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in Mesa, CO. For the men's dual slalom on Saturday, TJ Weaver took 1st place followed by Tucker Schultz from Western Colorado University in 2nd place. Luke Kirchmayr placed 3rd.
For the women's bracket, University of Colorado’s Jenna Blatchford took 1st place followed by Sydney Kraabel in 2nd place. Kacey Benjaminson placed 3rd.
Sunday held both the men’s and women’s slalom events. The United States Air Force Academy won the men's slalom overall led by Tyler Bartick in 2nd place behind University of Colorado Boulder’s Carson McCue in 1st place with a 0.98 second difference. The United States Air Force Academy’s Joseph Olson placed 3rd and teammate Luke Kirchmayr placed 9th. The University of Colorado Boulder placed 2nd overall led by Carson McCue in 1st place. Teammates Dylan Kelly placed 6th and Fynn Fischer placed 8th. The University of Colorado Boulder won the women's slalom overall led by Kacey Benjaminson in 1st place followed by Teammate Jenna Blatchford in 2nd place with a 0.06 second difference. Teammate Sydney Kraabel placed 3rd. The Colorado School of Mines placed 2nd overall with Isabella Pedraza in 17th place. Teammates Caitlin Lilly took 19th place and Madeline Travis placed 24th.
2/01 - 2/02 Atlantic Highlands Conference
The Atlantic Highlands region held a two-day slalom race at Camelback Ski Resort, PA this season. The men’s and women’s slalom events were held on Saturday.
Lehigh University took 1st place overall in the men's category. Lehigh’s Aaron Martin tied for 1st place with the United States Military Academy’s James Lahrman with a combined time of 1.22.38. Lehigh’s Ian Kenyon placed 3rd and teammate Jordan Bell 8th. Fairfield University placed 2nd overall led by Timothy Teguis in 4th place. Teammates Cole Paton placed 5th and Tj Rubin placed 9th.
Lafayette College took 1st place overall in the women's category. Lafayette’s Lindsey Correll took 3rd place behind Francesca Mann with a 0.85 second difference. Lafayette’s Lily Gouse placed 8th and her teammate Noa Dahan placed 13th. Lehigh University placed 2nd overall led by Francesa Mann in 2nd place. Teammates Alyssa Lundberg placed 6th and teammate Eliza Hirschey placed 17th.
The slalom events were held on Sunday. Columbia University claimed 1st overall in the women’s category. Columbia’s Sloane Goldberg took 1st place over Lehigh’s Francesa Mann in 2nd place with a 0.11 second difference. Columbia’s Kea Rutherford placed 8th and teammate Lisa Engelen placed 12th. Lafayette College placed 2nd overall. Lafayette’s Lindsay Correll placed 3rd followed by teammate Lily Gous in 4th. Teammate Noa Dahan placed 15th.
2/01 - 2/02 Mideast Conference
The Mideast region held a race at Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua, NY . The giant slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. Hobart and William Smith College claimed 1st place in the men’s giant slalom event. Hobart and William’s Will Patton placed 1st followed by Cornell’s Antoine Mac in 2nd place with a difference of 1.37 seconds. Hobart and William’s Ethan Hine placed 3rd followed by teammate Jack Ross in 5th. Cornell University placed 2nd overall led by Antoine Mac in 2nd place.
Teammates Ryan Rupprecht placed 11th and Alex Aubrecht placed 13th.
Colgate University claimed 1st place in the women’s giant slalom event. Colgate’s Kate Goodrich claimed 1st place over Hamilton College’s Marjorie Plants in 2nd place by 1.86 seconds. Colgate’s Charlotte Morris placed 3rd and teammate Carissa Dunlap placed 5th. Hobart and William Smith College placed 2nd overall led by Marjorie Plants in 2nd place. Teammates Emily Cain placed 10th and Kate Broderick placed 13th.
The slalom events were held for both men and women on Sunday. Hobart and William Smith College claimed 1st place in the men’s slalom event. Hobart and William’s Will Patton claimed 1st place ahead of teammate Jack Ross in 2nd place by 3.33 seconds. Hobart and William’s Ethan Hine placed 22nd. Syracuse University placed 2nd overall led by Stephen Connolly in 4th place. Teammates Sawyer Duserick placed 8th and Mason Schlopy placed 9th.
Colgate University claimed 1st place in the women’s giant slalom event. Colgate’s Kate Goodrich took 1st place followed by teammate Charlotte Morris with a 2.47 second difference. Teammate Carissa Dunlap placed 8th. Hobart and William Smith College placed 2nd overall with Marjorie Plant’s placing 3rd. Teammates Kate Broderick placed 5th and Mia Crivelli placed 12th.
2/01 - 2/02 Allegheny Conference
The Allegheny Conference held a two day slalom race at Tussey Mountain in Boalsburg, PA. The first slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. Pennsylvania State University claimed 1st place overall in the men's category. Penn State’s Shayan Gupta took 1st place over Messiah University's Noah Richert in 2nd place with a 2.29 second difference. Penn State's Blake Baughman placed 3rd followed by teammate Thomas LaFalce in 4th place. Messiah University took 2nd overall led by Noah Richert in 2nd place. Teammate Jonathan Seeburger placed 9th.
Pennsylvania State University also claimed 1st place overall in the women’s category. Penn State’s Zoe Parizek placed 2nd behind Messiah Universities Faith Richert in 1st place with a 4.57 second difference. Penn State’s Natalie Malmgren placed 4th and teammate Audra Robinson placed 6th. West Virginia University placed 2nd overall led by Molly Burns in 5th place. Teammates Emma Dages placed 8th and Kiya Babkirk placed 10th.
The second slalom event was held for both men and women on Sunday. Pennsylvania State University claimed 1st place overall in the men's category. Penn State’s Blake Baughman placed 3rd. Teammates Alec Crouthamel placed 6th with Thomas LaFalce in 7th place. Villanova University placed 2nd overall led by Bradley Bryne in 2nd place. Teammates Charles Hurchalla placed 8th and Peter Murray in 10th place. Penn State claimed 1st place overall in the women's category. Penn State’s Zoe Parizek placed 2nd. Teammates Natalie Malmgren placed 3rd and Carolyn Mole placed 7th. American University placed 2nd overall. American University’s Quinn Albright placed 1st over Penn State's Zoe Parizek in 2nd place with a 0.66 second difference. American’s Pearl Burruss placed 9th.
USCSA is the sports federation for collegiate team ski and snowboard competition in America. The organization believes that student-athletes of all levels and abilities should have access to quality and exciting venues of competition. Our athletes agree that our team orientation fosters a collaborative approach across their collegiate athletic and academic careers, and often this mentality proves indispensable in their adult lives and careers. USCSA includes over 140 institutions from coast to coast, fielding over 4,700 female and male alpine, freestyle, nordic, and snowboarding athletes who participate in more than 300 events annually.

Northern’s Aaron Grzelak took 1st place followed by teammate Reed Heathman in 2nd place with a 0.52 second difference. Teammate Andrew Truman placed 3rd. St. Olaf took 2nd overall led by Austin Mjanger in 5th place. Teammates Wyatt Schultz placed 6th and Graham Barwick placed 21st. Northern Michigan University claimed 1st place overall in the women’s slalom. Northern’s Ainsley Kirk took 1st place followed by teammate Reagan Olli with a 0.11 second difference. Teammate Ella Wichert placed 3rd. St. Olaf took 2nd overall led by Kate Young in 7th place. Teammates Jessica Stanton placed 10th and Lexi Jorgensen placed 15th.
The Michigan and Ohio Division held a slalom and giant slalom race at Otsego Club in Gaylord, MI. At Saturday’s women’s giant slalom race The University of Michigan claimed 1st place overall. Michigan’s Lauren Carlson placed 3rd followed by teammate Maria Fornetti in 4th place. Teammate Anna Grzelak placed 5th. The University of Notre dame took 2nd place led by Avery Meyer in 2nd place behind Michigan States Remington Robel in 1st place with a 0.34 second difference. For Saturday’s men’s giant slalom race, Michigan State University claimed 1st place overall. Michigan State’s Nicholas Uhazie placed 2nd behind Michigan’s Brady Koenig in 1st place with a 0.20 second difference. Michigan State’s Teegan McLeod placed 3rd. The University of Michigan placed 2nd overall led by Brady Keonig in 1st place.
For Sunday’s women’s slalom race The University of Michigan claimed 1st place overall. Michigan’s Lauren Carlson took 1st place followed by teammate Maria Fornetti in 2nd place with a 0.30 second difference. Teammate Rebecca Yedid placed 3rd. University of Notre Dame took 2nd overall led by Avery Meyer in 8th place. For the men’s slalom race, Michigan State University claimed 1st place overall. Michigan State’s Aiden Lewandowski took first place followed by teammate Hunter Halstead in 2nd place with a 1.00 second difference. Teammate Teegan McLeod placed 4th. The University of Michigan placed 2nd overall led by Benjamin Aulicino in 3rd place.
2/01 - 2/02 Grand Teton Conference
The Grand Teton region held two separate races - a race at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in Mesa, CO and a race at Lookout Pass in Idaho.
At Purgatory, the University of Utah was the only university in attendance. For the men, Utah’s TJ Weaver took 1st place over teammate Harrison Wilson in 2nd place with a 1.97 second difference. Utah’s Connor Hamlin placed 3rd. For the women, Utah’s Melissa Umble took 1st place followed by teammate Paige Petersen by 0.07 seconds. Teammate Lexi Ornstein placed 3rd.
At Lookout Pass, Rocky Mountain College was the only competitor. On the men’s side, Caleb Unger placed 1st followed by teammate Fredrik Straume in 2nd place with a 2.89 second difference. Teammate Zachary Bion placed 3rd. For the women, Eulalie Giraud placed 1st followed by teammate Synne Gaustad Kvinlog in 2nd place with a 3.49 second difference. Teammate Elisabeth Grimkelsrud placed 3rd.
2/01 - 2/02 Southeast Conference
The Southeast region held its two-day giant slalom race this weekend at Bryce Resort in Bryce, VA. The first giant slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. The University of Virginia claimed 1st place overall in the men’s giant slalom. Virginia's Tyler Jensen took 1st place over independent Trace Beyer in 2nd place with a 0.08 second difference. Virginia’s Jack Allison placed 12th and teammate Alexander Riley placed 25th. Virginia Tech placed 2nd overall led by Pierce Hamlin in 3rd place. Virginia’s Jacob Wierer placed 7th and teammate Christopher Johnson placed 14th.
Georgetown University claimed 1st place overall in the women’s giant slalom. Georgetown’s Megan Ryan took 2nd place behind James Madison University's Aimee Ramsey with a 1.56 second difference. Georgetown’s Chloe Vlases placed 4th and teammate Neve Martin placed 6th. Virginia placed 2nd overall with Laura Lee Baldwin placing 5th. Teammates Logan Lindstrom placed 7th and Bori Kim placed 9th.
The second giant slalom events were held on Sunday for both men and women. Virginia Tech claimed 1st place overall in the men’s giant slalom. Virginia Tech’s Theodore Hwang took 1st over Virginia’s Tyler Jensen in 2nd place with a 0.74 second difference. Virginia Tech’s Pierce Hamlin placed 7th followed by teammate Jacob Wierer in 8th place. Georgetown University placed 2nd overall led by James Fox in 3rd place. Teammates Jack Chitkara placed 6th and Harry Weinreich placed 9th.
Georgetown University claimed 1st place overall in the women’s giant slalom. Georgetown’s Sophie Neff took 1st place followed by teammate Megan Ryan with a 2.52 second difference. Teammate Chloe Vlases placed 3rd. The University of Virginia placed 2nd overall led by Laura Lee Baldwin placing 5th. Virginia’s Logan Lindstrom placed 7th followed by teammate Bori Kim in 8th.
2/01 - 2/02 Rocky Mountain Conference
The Rocky Mountain region held its Slalom and Dual Slalom race at Powderhorn Mountain Resort in Mesa, CO. For the men's dual slalom on Saturday, TJ Weaver took 1st place followed by Tucker Schultz from Western Colorado University in 2nd place. Luke Kirchmayr placed 3rd.
For the women's bracket, University of Colorado’s Jenna Blatchford took 1st place followed by Sydney Kraabel in 2nd place. Kacey Benjaminson placed 3rd.
Sunday held both the men’s and women’s slalom events. The United States Air Force Academy won the men's slalom overall led by Tyler Bartick in 2nd place behind University of Colorado Boulder’s Carson McCue in 1st place with a 0.98 second difference. The United States Air Force Academy’s Joseph Olson placed 3rd and teammate Luke Kirchmayr placed 9th. The University of Colorado Boulder placed 2nd overall led by Carson McCue in 1st place. Teammates Dylan Kelly placed 6th and Fynn Fischer placed 8th. The University of Colorado Boulder won the women's slalom overall led by Kacey Benjaminson in 1st place followed by Teammate Jenna Blatchford in 2nd place with a 0.06 second difference. Teammate Sydney Kraabel placed 3rd. The Colorado School of Mines placed 2nd overall with Isabella Pedraza in 17th place. Teammates Caitlin Lilly took 19th place and Madeline Travis placed 24th.
2/01 - 2/02 Atlantic Highlands Conference
The Atlantic Highlands region held a two-day slalom race at Camelback Ski Resort, PA this season. The men’s and women’s slalom events were held on Saturday.
Lehigh University took 1st place overall in the men's category. Lehigh’s Aaron Martin tied for 1st place with the United States Military Academy’s James Lahrman with a combined time of 1.22.38. Lehigh’s Ian Kenyon placed 3rd and teammate Jordan Bell 8th. Fairfield University placed 2nd overall led by Timothy Teguis in 4th place. Teammates Cole Paton placed 5th and Tj Rubin placed 9th.
Lafayette College took 1st place overall in the women's category. Lafayette’s Lindsey Correll took 3rd place behind Francesca Mann with a 0.85 second difference. Lafayette’s Lily Gouse placed 8th and her teammate Noa Dahan placed 13th. Lehigh University placed 2nd overall led by Francesa Mann in 2nd place. Teammates Alyssa Lundberg placed 6th and teammate Eliza Hirschey placed 17th.
The slalom events were held on Sunday. Columbia University claimed 1st overall in the women’s category. Columbia’s Sloane Goldberg took 1st place over Lehigh’s Francesa Mann in 2nd place with a 0.11 second difference. Columbia’s Kea Rutherford placed 8th and teammate Lisa Engelen placed 12th. Lafayette College placed 2nd overall. Lafayette’s Lindsay Correll placed 3rd followed by teammate Lily Gous in 4th. Teammate Noa Dahan placed 15th.
2/01 - 2/02 Mideast Conference
The Mideast region held a race at Bristol Mountain in Canandaigua, NY . The giant slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. Hobart and William Smith College claimed 1st place in the men’s giant slalom event. Hobart and William’s Will Patton placed 1st followed by Cornell’s Antoine Mac in 2nd place with a difference of 1.37 seconds. Hobart and William’s Ethan Hine placed 3rd followed by teammate Jack Ross in 5th. Cornell University placed 2nd overall led by Antoine Mac in 2nd place.
Teammates Ryan Rupprecht placed 11th and Alex Aubrecht placed 13th.
Colgate University claimed 1st place in the women’s giant slalom event. Colgate’s Kate Goodrich claimed 1st place over Hamilton College’s Marjorie Plants in 2nd place by 1.86 seconds. Colgate’s Charlotte Morris placed 3rd and teammate Carissa Dunlap placed 5th. Hobart and William Smith College placed 2nd overall led by Marjorie Plants in 2nd place. Teammates Emily Cain placed 10th and Kate Broderick placed 13th.
The slalom events were held for both men and women on Sunday. Hobart and William Smith College claimed 1st place in the men’s slalom event. Hobart and William’s Will Patton claimed 1st place ahead of teammate Jack Ross in 2nd place by 3.33 seconds. Hobart and William’s Ethan Hine placed 22nd. Syracuse University placed 2nd overall led by Stephen Connolly in 4th place. Teammates Sawyer Duserick placed 8th and Mason Schlopy placed 9th.
Colgate University claimed 1st place in the women’s giant slalom event. Colgate’s Kate Goodrich took 1st place followed by teammate Charlotte Morris with a 2.47 second difference. Teammate Carissa Dunlap placed 8th. Hobart and William Smith College placed 2nd overall with Marjorie Plant’s placing 3rd. Teammates Kate Broderick placed 5th and Mia Crivelli placed 12th.
2/01 - 2/02 Allegheny Conference
The Allegheny Conference held a two day slalom race at Tussey Mountain in Boalsburg, PA. The first slalom events were held for both men and women on Saturday. Pennsylvania State University claimed 1st place overall in the men's category. Penn State’s Shayan Gupta took 1st place over Messiah University's Noah Richert in 2nd place with a 2.29 second difference. Penn State's Blake Baughman placed 3rd followed by teammate Thomas LaFalce in 4th place. Messiah University took 2nd overall led by Noah Richert in 2nd place. Teammate Jonathan Seeburger placed 9th.
Pennsylvania State University also claimed 1st place overall in the women’s category. Penn State’s Zoe Parizek placed 2nd behind Messiah Universities Faith Richert in 1st place with a 4.57 second difference. Penn State’s Natalie Malmgren placed 4th and teammate Audra Robinson placed 6th. West Virginia University placed 2nd overall led by Molly Burns in 5th place. Teammates Emma Dages placed 8th and Kiya Babkirk placed 10th.
The second slalom event was held for both men and women on Sunday. Pennsylvania State University claimed 1st place overall in the men's category. Penn State’s Blake Baughman placed 3rd. Teammates Alec Crouthamel placed 6th with Thomas LaFalce in 7th place. Villanova University placed 2nd overall led by Bradley Bryne in 2nd place. Teammates Charles Hurchalla placed 8th and Peter Murray in 10th place. Penn State claimed 1st place overall in the women's category. Penn State’s Zoe Parizek placed 2nd. Teammates Natalie Malmgren placed 3rd and Carolyn Mole placed 7th. American University placed 2nd overall. American University’s Quinn Albright placed 1st over Penn State's Zoe Parizek in 2nd place with a 0.66 second difference. American’s Pearl Burruss placed 9th.
