Student Athlete (Competitor) Registration

Registration Process:
  • If you are new to the USCSA, you will need to create a Sport Engine account.
  • If you have previously been a USCSA member and forget your Sport Engine account login information, you can recover it by clicking here.

Necessary Information:
  • Academic history details
  • Previous transcripts (transfer students) 
  • Unofficial transcript (for reference; not required to submit)
  • Confirmation of health insurance
  • Emergency contact information

Pricing*:
  • Early Bird Tier 1: $20 (September 15 - October 31, 2022)
  • Early Bird Tier 2: $30 (November 1 - 30, 2022)
  • Regular Season Tier 1: $35 (December 1 - 31, 2022)
  • Regular Season Tier 2: $40 (January 1 - 31, 2023)
  • Late Season: $45 (February 1 - 28, 2023)
  • *Competitors must pay online at time of registration in order to be able to compete.

Important notes:
  • All athletes must be on a team and part of a registered institution.
  • NO REFUNDS.​ Please check with your institution’s team leadership before registering.
  • Sport Engine offers registration insurance through AIG. This is not a product that is required by USCSA and is completely optional. If you choose to select this insurance, we encourage you to read the program details.

Institution and Team Registration

Definitions:
  • Institution = a college or university fielding a team
  • Team = gender and discipline specific (e.g. Women's Alpine, Men's Snowboard)
  • Small Team = gender and discipline specific, with fewer than three members

Registration Process:
  • Complete the Institution registration
  • Complete the necessary Team registration(s)
  • If your Institution is not listed in the registration system, please contact the USCSA National Office

Pricing:
  • Institution Fee: $175
  • Team Fees:
    • Early Bird Tier 1: $175 per team (September 15 - October 31, 2022)
    • Early Bird Tier 2: $200 per team (November 1 - 30, 2022)
    • Regular Season Tier 1: $225 per team (December 1 - 31, 2022)**
    • Regular Season Tier 2: $250 per team (January 1 - 31, 2023)**
    • Late Season: $300 per team (February 1, 2023 onward)**
  • Small Team Fees (fewer than three members):
    • Early Bird Tier 1: $87.50 per team (September 15 - October 31, 2022)
    • Early Bird Tier 2: $100 per team (November 1 - 30, 2022)
    • Regular Season Tier 1: $112.50 per team (December 1 - 31, 2022)**
    • Regular Season Tier 2: $125 per team (January 1 - 31, 2023)**
    • Late Season: $150 per team (February 1, 2023 onward)**
  • Pay offline: Teams that pay dues by check STILL MUST register online AND complete the Team Offline Payment Request Form separately. Offline payments incur an additional $50 processing fee per check, which must be included with submission.
  • **Starting December 1, 2022, ONLY online payments will be accepted.
 
Important Notes:
  • Teams and institutions must register and pay registration fees by January 1, 2023, in order to maintain their license and eligibility for the 2023 USCSA National Championships.
  • Institutions that ONLY register Small Teams (teams with fewer than three members) are only required to pay their Small Team Fee(s), not an Institution Fee.
  • Small Teams that grow beyond two members after registration for the current competition season will be required to pay full Team Fee(s) AND the Institution Fee the following year.
  • New teams must notify the National Office to register, and also are eligible for registration fee discounts.
  • Institutions that have registered any teams of three or more members in previous seasons MUST pay Institution Fees.

​Team Registration Waiver:
1.3 Fees Waivers. A waiver is an action exempting an individual or institution from the application of a specific regulation. A waiver requires a formal approval based on evidence of compliance with the specified conditions or criteria under which the waiver is authorized. The Finance Committee shall have the authority to waive Competitor Registration or Team Fees based on an official request submitted to the Finance Committee through the USCSA National Office.

Coach /
​Official / Volunteer Registration

General Information:
  • All USCSA Conference Coordinators, volunteers, officials and coaches must complete this membership registration and eligibility components to be allowed on the competition venue.
  • Eligibility: All coaches and volunteers over the age of 18 must complete a background check and Abuse Prevention Training prior to regular contact with student athletes. The training will be managed and completed through SportsEngine. If you have completed an approved SafeSport training in the current calendar year, you may be exempt from the USCSA training. Submit your submit proof of completion to registration@uscsa.org.

General Visitor Registration

General Information:
  • ​Complete this registration if you are participating in ANY USCSA event across the country during the 2022-2023 season as a visiting competitor, forerunner or similar role. 
  • This registration is not intended for athletes that are part of a USCSA Member Institution or Coaches/Volunteers/Officials.
  • This is NOT the registration to use if you are a regular USCSA competitor on a secondary, or "guest," team (as defined in 2.1.3 of the USCSA Competition and Rules Manual).​
