We are seeking Journalism Interns for this season! These positions work closely with the USCSA Marketing Committee and various media outlets to develop articles and press releases recapping USCSA events throughout the competition season.
The interns also collaborate with USCSA Conference Coordinators, coaches and athletes to gather information about events and coordinate with media outlets to develop compelling ways to tell the USCSA story to a global audience. We are seeking a passionate and experienced Freeride Head Coach to lead and inspire our youth Freeride team. This role involves training athletes in the fundamentals of Big Mountain Freeride skiing and competition prep, while encouraging a culture of teamwork, safety, and growth. The Head Coach will be responsible for assisting the supervisor in planning training curriculum and coaching high-level training sessions, traveling to competitions, and maintaining regular communication with athletes, parents, and management.
Ideally we are looking for a candidate who holds a Level 100 IFSA Coaching Certification and has prior coaching experience in Freeride or Big Mountain competition settings. You should have advanced to expert skiing skills, with the ability to safely navigate and coach on expert-level terrain. A strong understanding of IFSA competition structure and athlete development is essential. There are opportunities for program development and growth within the department.
You must be an effective leader and communicator with a positive attitude and the ability to maintain control and foster a supportive environment for youth athletes. You must be able to work effectively with other coaches and lead other employees to success. Physical fitness is essential, as the role involves skiing, hiking, lifting, and working in varied and sometimes extreme winter conditions. Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record, and have at least a high school diploma. Pay rate is determined by previous experience and certifications.

- Collaborate with same-season coaching staff to schedule facility and other related activities.
- Hold a valid CPR / First Aid / AED certification or be willing to become certified
- Successfully completed the MIAA Coaches Education course.
- Successfully completed the NFHS concussion certification class and ability to adhere to all school and state concussion policies.
- Perform other related duties as determined by the Athletic Director and/or Principal.
- Comply with all District policies and procedures as outlined in Coaches’ Handbook.
- CORI and Fingerprint clearance required.

Ski Sundown: Assistant and Head Coaches
Ski Sundown Race Team is seeking Assistant and Head Coaches for the 2025-2026 season for U10-U16 age groups.
Candidates need to have strong skiing fundamentals, desire to coach and mentor youth athletes, and a passion for the sport of ski racing. SSST runs from December through March, training every weekend and Wednesday nights. Races are throughout the Tri-State regions, and coaches are expected to travel to these events with athletes.
