Fee Waivers |
Teams and Institutions that request waivers from fees MUST contact the USCSA National Office by sending an email to registration@uscsa.org with “Waiver Request” in the subject line BEFORE registering for the 20-21 season. Reference the Competitor & Institution / Team Registration pages for more information on current registration costs.
Discipline Fee Waiver: New Teams
New teams at current member institutions of the USCSA can request a waiver from Discipline Fees (Ref. 2.1.1.2) for one year. Teams are considered “new” if they have never registered with the USCSA or have been inactive for a period of 4 years.
Institution Fee Waiver: New Institutions
New Institutions to the USCSA can request a waiver from Institution Fees (Ref. 2.1.1.2) for one year. Institutions are considered “new” if they have never previously registered with the USCSA or have been inactive for a period of 4 years.

2.1.3 Fees Waivers. A waiver is an action exempting an individual or institution from the application of a specific regulation. A waiver requires a formal approval based on evidence of compliance with the specified conditions or criteria under which the waiver is authorized. The Finance Committee shall have the authority to waive Individual Registration or Team Fees based on an official request submitted to the Finance Committee through the USCSA National Office.
Eligibility Waivers |
Competitors, Teams or Institutions that have been deemed ineligible to compete because of Academic Eligibility requirements can appeal their status to the Academic Affairs Committee. Appeals MUST be processed by completing the below appeals form with any supporting documentation, sent to registration@uscsa.org. The Academic Affairs Committee will review your appeal and contact you directly with further instructions / information.

COVID-19 General Eligibility Waiver |
COVID-19 Exceptions. Any student enrolled in a minimum full-time program of studies at a collegiate institution during the 2020-2021 academic year, regardless of if they have participated in USCSA competition, will be granted an additional year of academic eligibility, for circumstances beyond their control due to the negative impacts associated with logistics and competition due to the COVID-19 pandemic. No waiver of NCAA Division II rule 14.2 Seasons of Competition: 10-Semester/15-Quarter Rule would be required to be submitted for any athlete who seeks to participate in a 5th year of competition within the first 10 semesters or 15 quarters in which the student is enrolled in a collegiate institution in at least a minimum full-time program of studies.
