GUEST ATHLETE REGISTRATION

2026-2027 Guest Athlete Registration

**NEW THIS YEAR**

USCSA's pilot guest athlete policy goes into effect this season. This policy was created to expand access to USCSA events for athletes who are not otherwise able to compete through the traditional team model. This registration imposes various limitations for participants. Athletes should confirm they understand the parameters of this registration before completing this registration.

This new registration will open later this fall. If you are a competitor who falls under this category, do not fill out USCSA's student-athlete (competitor) registration.

Guest Athlete
Policy

For the 2026–2027 season, the guest athlete category has been created for eligible higher education students whose institution does not have an established USCSA team in the applicable discipline.

Guest athletes participate solely as unaffiliated, non-scoring individuals in approved regular-season USCSA events. Guest athletes are not eligible for team or individual scoring, postseason qualification, or participation in the USCSA National Championships.

The guest athlete category is intended to expand access to USCSA while preserving the traditional team membership structure.

This policy expires at the conclusion of the 2026–2027 membership year unless affirmatively renewed or replaced by the USCSA Board of Directors.

Guest Athlete Registration

These instructions are for each individual guest athlete who is registering to compete in the USCSA this season.

**Review the entire policy (linked above) before proceeding.** Athletes may not use this policy to avoid normal eligibility review, team registration, or team fees, nor may athletes use this policy as an alternative entry-point to USCSA events because the team did not select the student for its roster, the team has participation limits, or the student disagrees with team leadership.
