VOLUNTEER

"Volunteers do not necessarily have the time, they just have the heart."

– Elizabeth Andrew

The USCSA needs YOU!

The USCSA aims to support our student athletes in the best way possible. If you have had a memorable experience with the USCSA– as a student athlete, coach, parent, etc.– now is your chance to give back.

*The above form is for NEW volunteers to express their areas of interest in volunteering for USCSA. It is NOT a substitute for registration. All current volunteers need to register each season, either as a coach/official/volunteer or a general visitor.

Supporting Your Team. Building A Legacy.

  • We are made up of over 140 member institutions and 5,000 student athletes.

Opportunities to Get Involved

Conference Support: Conferences depend on volunteers to put on their in-season events each year. These events are critical to the success of the organization and the experience of each student athlete. Each Conference differs in their size and breadth of need.

This year, the Northern California Conference needs help in the following areas:

  • Freestyle judges

  • Freestyle course maintenance

  • Course setters, including snowboard

  • Social media help

  • Forerunners, especially snowboarders

Committee Involvement: We often need some of the very skill-sets that our members have been pursuing academically. We are always seeking to cultivate new leaders to help us uphold our mission statement and ensure the ongoing success of the organization.

The USCSA has many committees that meet regularly to bring recommendations to the Board of Directors. Committee membership varies and includes student reps, industry experts, parents and alumni.

Learn more about the various committees within the USCSA and how you might contribute your skills.

Student Representatives: The Student Representatives are the voice of the student population and make sure the priorities of our student athletes are represented. Each year, the USCSA Board selects up to six applicants who serve a two-year term beginning June 1. Student athletes may serve in this position within five years following graduation.

Benefits of being a Student Rep:

  • Voting member on committee(s)

  • Support the direction of USCSA growth

  • Personal recommendations for future employment

  • Networking with volunteers in diverse professional fields

  • Covered travel costs to the Annual Conference

  • Subsidized travel costs to National Championships
