WAIVERS & APPEALS

Fee Waivers

Competition and Rules Manual 2.1.3: Fee Waivers
A waiver is an action exempting an individual, team or institution from the application of a specific regulation. A waiver requires a formal approval based on evidence of compliance with the specified conditions or criteria under which the waiver is authorized. The Membership Committee, in consultation with the Finance Committee, shall have the authority to waive Individual, Team or Institution fees based on an official request submitted to the Membership Committee through the USCSA National Office.

Teams and Institutions that request fee waivers MUST contact the USCSA National Office by sending an email to registration@uscsa.org with “Waiver Request” in the subject line BEFORE registering for the current season. Reference the Registration page for more information on current registration costs.

​Team Fee Waiver: New Teams
New teams at current member institutions of the USCSA can request a waiver from Discipline (Team) Fees for one year (Ref. CAR 2.1.). Teams are considered “new” if they have never registered with the USCSA or have been inactive for a period of four years.

Institution Fee Waiver: New Institutions
New Institutions to the USCSA can request a waiver from Institution Fees for one year (Ref. CAR 2.1.). Institutions are considered “new” if they have never previously registered with the USCSA or have been inactive for a period of four years.

Eligibility Appeals

Competitors, Teams or Institutions that have been deemed ineligible to compete because of academic eligibility requirements can appeal their status to the Academic Affairs Committee.

Appeals MUST be processed by completing the below appeals form and sending all supporting documentation to registration@uscsa.org. The Academic Affairs Committee will review your appeal and contact you directly with further instructions / information.
