Whiteface Mountain

Rediscover Whiteface, home to the very best ski experiences the East has to offer. Simply put, Whiteface offers more of everything: more snowmaking, more inspiring expert terrain, more long, rolling groomers, including the longest single intermediate run in the Northeast, the 2.1-mile long Wilmington Trail; more learning, more adventure, more fun, more off-mountain attractions you can't find anywhere else, such as bobsledding down an Olympic track or groomed Nordic skiing or strolling through the lakeside Olympic village. And, more hotel and dining than you'll find in any hamlet in southern Vermont.

Mt. Van Hoevenberg

The Olympic Cross Country ski trails of Mt. Van Hoevenberg have delighted individuals, couples and families for over 35 years. Constant trail upgrades and world class grooming on 50 km of rolling Adirondack terrain have been the hallmark of our Olympic legacy. Skiers have always found trails fit for the Olympian inside them, no matter their ability. Step into a pair of skis or snowshoes, breathe in the fresh, crisp air and follow our meticulously groomed trails through the snowy woods. Through the forest, follow the trails that have led athletes, like local Bill Demong (Gold and Silver Medalist in the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Games) to Olympic glory.

Lake Placid Legacy Sites

Consider this: Lake Placid’s history is not only unique and goose-bump-inducing but also capable of inspiring our human spirit in ways that can ignite dreams and reveal new potential in our lives. That’s because the stories of journeys and dreams and triumphs have an extraordinary way of showing us possibilities in ourselves. Possibilities we may have never considered. In sports and in every other facet of our lives. Rising from pure wilderness to today’s global leader in sport, recreation, and tourism, Lake Placid is home to inspiring tales of trailblazing people and their uncommon achievements. It’s like no other place on Earth.
