LAKE PLACID, New York. – The United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) has been closely following the situation regarding COVID-19. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has issued an order restricting public gatherings, effective 5PM Friday. After careful consideration, as well as new guidance issued by the State of New York and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, it is in the best interest of our athletes, fans, and coaches to cancel the Saturday March 14th events at the 2020 US Collegiate Ski & Snowboard National Championships. Friday events will continue as planned.
It is with sincere compassion that we share this news with you. We want to emphasize our appreciation for the hard work of the USCSA athletes, the dedication of our coaches and all of our volunteers who have worked tirelessly to create a world-class event. More information will be made available through official USCSA channels regarding results, awards and future announcements.
We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding as we navigate this evolving situation, and wish everyone safe travels home.
